Our finishes are extremely durable and weatherproof. We use a blend of green cement, recycled materials, and Fluid Concrete Technology in our lightweight concrete finish which resists scratches, stains, mold, and mildew. Our wood tables are made from Grade A teak, a naturally durable wood that withstands extreme weather without losing its strength or beauty.
Adjustable heat options
Choose the ideal heating level for your indoor or outdoor environment. Gas and Liquid Propane provide the highest amount of heat, up to 65,000 BTU/h. Ethanol delivers comfortable warmth up to 20,433 BTU/h.

When you choose ethanol as your fuel source over gas or wood, you are totally simplifying your installation requirements and costs. There's no flue or chimney required when burning ethanol, which means that you have the ultimate in design flexibility to achieve an open fire in so many more areas of your home - both indoors and out.
Can EcoSmart Fires be installed everywhere?
Almost everywhere! EcoSmart Fires cannot be installed into small rooms that are less than our minimum room size which is burner specific. For all other installations, you must comply with our compulsory clearances and installation instructions. Approval from building authorities may be required prior to installation in your area. Please make sure you contact appropriate parties before installing your EcoSmart Fire.
How easy is it to install an ethanol fireplace?
There are different types of bioethanol fireplaces: there are freestanding models that require no installation; and there are others that are built-in fireplaces that are designed to be easily fixed into a stud wall or existing joinery. Overall, they are much easier to install than any gas or wood-burning fireplaces.
What is bioethanol fuel?
Bioethanol (also known as methylated spirits or simply ethanol) is a form of renewable energy. It’s a clear, colourless liquid that’s commonly made from fermenting the sugar and starch components of plant by-products like sugarcane and grain crops.
Can I use the Outdoor Collection indoors?
Yes. EcoSmart’s Outdoor Fireplaces use the same clean burning fuel and high quality burners as its indoor products. Conversely, our entire built-in fireplace inserts and ethanol burners can be installed in custom outdoor settings.
How much does it cost to maintain an ethanol fireplace?
EcoSmart Fire’s ethanol fireplaces require little maintenance. It is important to keep the lid closed when not in use to keep debris out of the ethanol burner that can cause corrosion and damages. The 304 stainless steel tank is built to last a lifetime if proper cleaning procedures are done when needed.
What maintenance is required for ethanol fireplaces?
Clean your EcoSmart Fire unit after you have used 50 liters [13.20 Gal.] of fuel or as soon as you notice black deposits on or near the burner of the ethanol fireplace. Black marks can be removed from the stone, solid surfaces or stainless steel with a mild abrasive washing product such as JIF or similar. It is recommended to test a small area first to ensure the cleaning product chosen is appropriate and will not mark or damage the surface. Burners can be washed as required in hot soapy water (even in your dishwasher) from time to time and the internal mechanics won’t deteriorate like some other brands as all internal parts are stainless steel.
Are bioethanol fireplaces clearly marked with warning labels and safety advice?
All well-made bioethanol fireplaces will have clearly marked safety warnings, complete safety instructions and dedicated filling points and should comply with global regulations.
